Darren O'Sullivan, the Head Coach of Runcorn ABC, dedicates his life to the club. He spends most of his time there, either in the club gym or doing various tasks for the club. His commitment is entirely selfless and aimed at benefiting the children in Runcorn. Darren had a successful amateur boxing career and now generously gives back to his local community. Fortunately, he receives support from a team of volunteers who assist in running classes for kids, contributing to the club's success. Darren is a Level Two Area Head England Boxing Coach, while the assistants are Level One coaches. Thanks to their dedication, we are extremely proud to have two MTK Lonsdale Belt holders, and some of our boxers have even competed in tournaments as far away as Malta. Additionally, our boxers participate in events and interclub sparring all over the country.

Runcorn ABC is a non-profit organisation that constantly seeks ways to raise funds for the gym and the children.

This ensures that the gym remains open and continues to provide valuable services to the local community. We welcome individuals of all ages and backgrounds, treating everyone equally. Our coaches are DBS cleared to work with young people.

You might not be aware of the significant contributions Runcorn ABC makes to the Runcorn community. Unfortunately, Runcorn faces major socio-economic challenges, with some areas ranking among the top 10% of deprived areas in the country. Therefore, the boxing club's offerings for the children here are immensely important. We emphasise discipline, good behavior, and fun, while also actively discouraging knife use. Our aim is to create a safe environment where children can learn, grow, and make positive choices in life.
