JM & AFA Sports College have been delivering education programs since 2014
In that time, we have had over 500 students exceed their potential. Our students not only achieve outstanding grades but secure the best progression into Higher Education, Apprenticeships, and employment. To deliver these high levels of achievement, we focus on constantly providing outstanding teaching, exceptional personal support, and opportunities to develop key life skills.
AFA Sports College consists of a full-time education offer, including NCFE Level 2 Fitness Instructing, Sports, Exercise and Fitness, Level 3 Personal Training and Level 3 Sports Coaching and for those looking to take the steps back into education or employment, our 2-year Level 3 extended diploma which leads to pathways to university and our Traineeship programmes for 16-24-year old’s.
Our courses give students the chance to develop academically and socially, giving them the knowledge, skills, and experience to succeed in their chosen career. Studying at AFA Sports College gives students the unique opportunity to learn within a functioning sports organisation, based within a Sports Setting. This means our students can speak to, and learn from, current professionals working in the sport, fitness, and leisure sector.

We have strong partnerships with local schools, employers, and organisations, and this is embedded into college life to ensure all students gain the experience required to progress onto the next level course or into employment. What you can expect from AFA Boxing Academy
Registration and delivery of qualifications, experienced tutors with expert knowledge in their chosen sector delivering practical and theory-based lessons to give each young learner the best opportunity to pass on their chosen qualification, each learner will receive 121 support and guidance throughout their program. Maths and English lessons will be provided each week delivered by our qualified tutors, who have worked with all levels of learners from leaving school without any GCSEs to learners who need to re-sit their GCSEs after gaining a 3 previously in school, We will look after all enrolments of students, with reviews taking place every half term to ensure each learner is making the relevant progress and any personal issues or problems are being supported by either ourselves or our safeguarding team. AFA Boxing Academy offers an honest and trustworthy relationship with the local community with the interest of the young people at the heart of everything we do. We will also support the community & Runcorn Boxing Club with the programs they are involved in and in any way we can.

Level 1 certificate in sport
Level 1 in Boxing
Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Instructing exercise and fitness.

We also have masterclasses and talks from boxers from the amateur and professional boxing world, This year we have had Dexter Makaza, Tom Farrell & Natasha Jones to name a few of the ones who have been to our academy this year!
These courses last for 36 weeks and will run from Monday to Thursday, 9 am to 3 pm, however, we can be flexible with the program and make changes if needed, But most programs complete theory in the morning and then practical in the afternoon.
