BOXING TRAINING

Who we are and what we do

Runcorn Amateur boxing club was established in the 1960s and has provided a whole host of benefits to the local community for many decades. Our longevity has, and will always be based on the below factors:

  • Offering an open-door policy to people of all ages and backgrounds
  • Strong working relationships with local Police, Authorities, and Schools
  • Working within guidelines and governance set by England Boxing
  • Passionate staff who devote their spare time to volunteer

We believe no one should be turned away from our doors, as boxing can benefit individuals and communities in multiple ways. As a boxing club, we provide a community hub for people of all ages and backgrounds, where they can improve their lifestyles and mental wellbeing. Some of the major benefits the club can provide are:

  • Improved fitness and physical health
  • Self confidence
  • Improved Mental Health
  • Opportunities to bond new friendships
  • Self-discipline and respect for yourself and others

In addition to boxing training, which is tailored to people at all levels, the club also provides training classes for the elderly, disabled, juniors (children from the age of 6 upwards), and women only. We also run an anti-knife campaign alongside Liverpool’s ‘real men don’t carry knives’ campaign. This is aimed at giving youths an alternative, healthier direction in life.

As the club maintains strong relationships with the parents of our current members. In addition to this, all our coaches are CRB checked and child welfare offices.
